We are excited to let you know about a big development in the process of creating a new, permanent home for our church. On Sunday, March 6th, our Elders voted on a final layout design and budget and approved a Guaranteed Max Price contract with O’Brien Robinson Construction Services to proceed with the construction of our building.

November 24, 2021
On November 19, 2021 our building plans were approved by the city engineer of New Albany. Our contractor will be moving dirt very soon. Check out the update from Pastor David.

November 9, 2021
On Monday, November 8, the Building Committee leaders met with the city's Architectural Review Board, and the plans for our future church home were approved! Watch this video for an update from Pastor David, and learn about how you can continue to pray as we move forward in faith!

October 28, 2021
We previously communicated to you that New Albany's Architectural Review Board (ARB) had tabled their decision regarding approval of our building plans and would schedule another meeting to discuss our plans. That meeting will take place on November 8, 2021 at 7pm.

October 12, 2021
NAPC received some feedback that the building committee is currently reviewing with the architect and engineers. We believe the necessary items will all be resolved quickly. The ARB has agreed to schedule a special meeting to revisit our request in approximately two weeks, to keep things moving expeditiously.

September 24, 2021
The Building Committee is pleased to announce that our design plans have been submitted for the New Albany Architectural Review Board meeting on October 11th. Pastor David, the members of the steering committee, and members from the building committee will be attending the meeting on behalf of our congregation. This is a major milestone, and we ask for continued prayer leading up to and on that day!
Our site design plans became public records with this submission. (Note- A full submission is on file with the Architectural Review Board).

On May 30, the NAPC Steering Committee sent an update to the Faith. Forward. Building in progress. Those updates can be found below. In our communication, we mentioned that schematic renderings and a floor plan are in the process of being updated, and that we would share as soon as we receive them.

The permanent space committees, made up of your fellow congregational members, have been working diligently over the past several months. Previous communications have highlighted that this congregation has been blessed by two pivotal milestones: (1) your generosity during the capital campaign and (2) alignment with the City of New Albany to use the Dublin Granville/Harlem Road traffic light as one of our entrances. Both required the subcommittees to reassess the construction scope for the new building. We are excited to now share with you the updated scope and project budget!

Tree clearing on our 13 acres of land is nearly complete! Did you happen to spot these pin oaks set to the side? We are saving the logs to be milled down, dried, finished and given to a carpenter who will use those pin oaks to create a cross featured in our New Albany Presbyterian Church building!

As a reminder, the building design and construction process has multiple steps, and during each stage of the design, the details of the building will continue to be developed and refined.
