In Mary we see extraordinary faith in the most ordinary of persons. God is the grace-giving actor in this passage, but Mary’s response of childlike faith should be a model for us.

The Christian life is foundationally what God has done for us in spite of what we deserve. Are we doing the good works he has prepared in advance for us to do? If not, should we claim that we are Christians?
