NAPC Lecture Series: For Better: Getting and Staying Happily Married for the Long Haul
Why do so many negative myths proliferate in our time regarding the institution of marriage? Why do many people view marriage as something to wait for until your 30s or 40s (if ever), or as a ball and chain, or as something that restricts our lives in ways that are not worth the price? What about marriages in need of repair? What about our children, and their vision of marriage? On Sunday, February 23rd at 7:00pm, we will welcome Dr. Brad Wilcox, author of six books and many articles in such publications as the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and National Review. Dr. Wilcox is the Jefferson Scholars Foundation University Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia. He will give a lecture entitled, “For Better: Getting and Staying Happily Married for the Long Haul.”
This event is open to the public, relevant for young people, parents and grandparents. There is no cost to attend. Participants will receive a free copy of Dr. Wilcox’s 2024 book, Get Married, while supplies last. Please invite your friends and family and come out for what will be a very interesting and encouraging event!
Childcare is provided and please RSVP below.
