Evensong

We’re excited to worship together in an Evensong Service on March 15, at 7:00 pm. Evensong services date back to the 16th century in the Anglican church. Much like the structure of a typical Anglican Evensong service, we’ll spend time together in song, prayer, contemplation and stillness, but we’ll do it all with a reformed and presbyterian twist, substituting Psalms and scripture in the place of traditional Anglican elements. 

An Evensong service is a twilight service, and our hour-long service should be concluding as the sun dips below the horizon. The format’s focus on stillness and reflection gives us the opportunity to slow down, to focus our hearts and minds on the words of Scripture, to draw closer to God, and to enjoy beautiful music from the Psalms.
